Angela's Burrito Style

Angela's Burrito Style

Its that time again. Yes, its time for the yearly blog post. Google now keeps statistics on blog readership. So I was able to see that last year one person read this blog. This was exciting. Unless that person was me, but lets say they don't keep track this was. The blog had no followers though. But Im looking to do better maybe double the number of readers and increase the number of followers an infinite amount.

This time my review goes out to one of my favorite taco places in Chicago . Usually this does not translate to good nachos, but this place has done a pretty good job (plus its close to my house). The meat is pretty good and I think they use both real and nachos cheese. A combo I quite enjoy. My only real hit on this place is that the nachos have too much lettuce. When I get too much lettuce on a taco, I just scrape it off, but that's hard to do with nachos, plus its hard to see what you are getting nacho-wise, which makes it hard to develop an eating strategy (often resulting is that one last chip with everything on it or a bunch of chips with nothing on them). The reason I only gave this place 3 Cosell is that I don't crave the nachos there. They are good, but I'm never sitting home at night and start thinking about these nachos. If that was the case they would get a 4 maybe 4.5 Cosell rating, but it's not. I know its not very technical, but it makes a difference. So go eat some nachos and enjoy.

 'Till next year.

Name Change

So the name of the blog has changed, well, its kinda changed.

In 2005 Washington state decided the change the name of King county (home of Seattle), which was named after William Rufus de Vane King, the vice president to Franklin Pierce, who was way to caught up in the wrong side of some slavery issues in the 1850's.

Who better to name to county after, then, then the popular civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther Kings Jr. So it came to be that King county was, renamed King county after MLK rather than WRdVK.

This blog's name change is kinda like that.

Last year I moved from the actual Northwest of the United States to Chicago which was the northwest of the united stated in like the 1800's (see for example Northwestern University, which one would think is in Seattle but is actually quite near Chicago).

Therefore, the name of the blog has changed from the literal name NW Nachos to the old Timey name NW Nachos......CHEEEEEESE

This place is incredible..... ly close the my house. The nachos have too much Queso and the chips seem to be Doritos quality. I do like that they asked me if i speak Spanish (I do not) and that they have taco Tuesday and Thursday (the tacos aren't great either but they are like a buck). Ive yet to see if they do, in fact, have burritos the size of ones head.... only time will tell

Oh man, this place has got it right, it’s a coffee show, it’s a grocery store plus its shines so bright and blue-y in my window. Nachos, are a bit stale (standard) but cheese is good, stays liquid longer than 7-11 and not as spicy. Some times the cheese machine is down. That’s the only hit on this place. I’m going now. If you need me :: You’ll find me standing there….

First Review or 2008 where did you go

Bleu Bistro 202 Broadway E
Seattle, WA 98102
(206) 329-3087

So I went to this place a few weeks ago, but I didn't get nachos. I went quite a bit before that and I got nachos. They were pretty good but way too much for me to eat, they had something funny on them too, I think it might have been humus, or feta. It was good but filled me up even quicker. Kinda had that Mexican restaurant burnt chip thing going, but it was a little overkill. Overall, I got to sit in a booth like on a train
